About Timbre
Timbre is the reference magazine for Costa Rica Revenue & Postage Society and one of the main spaces dedicated to the dissemination of studies, findings, chronicles, and reflections on Costa Rican philately.
With the publication of its number 47, Timbre began a new phase as a native digital magazine. Now, with the number 48, that transition is beginning to solidify. The digital format allows for an expanded reach of the publication, makes it easier to consult from anywhere in the world, and better leverages the possibilities of the web environment, including high-resolution images, enriched content, and a more accessible reading experience for collectors, researchers, and new audiences.
Under the direction of Francisco Pérez, the magazine reaffirms its commitment to the rigorous study of philately, postal history, and documents that contribute to a better understanding of Costa Rican history. At the same time, this new phase seeks to make room for new voices, strengthen the memory of the philatelic community, and project the publication toward the future of collecting.
To make this evolution possible, Timbre it relies on Filateca's technological infrastructure, a platform that facilitates its digitization, preservation, and dissemination, and allows for the sharing of Costa Rican philatelic heritage from a contemporary perspective.
